Analysts and immigration proponents are excited about President Joe Biden's new plan for immigration reform and the positive impacts it is expected to have on businesses and VISA holders.
Attorney Giselle Carson is an expert on the immigration changes and trends. Carson told First Coast Connect host Melissa Ross Monday that policies over the past four years have been hasty and chaotic.

“I have foreign nationals that were awarded H1B visas last year in April and because of the travel ban that President Trump extended [just before he left office] through March 31st, those foreign nationals are still abroad,” Carson said.
She described Biden’s proposed immigration reform, which includes creating a roadmap to citizenship for undocumented workers, as “immense.”
The entire interview with Carson can be heard on Monday’s First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross, which encores at 8 p.m. on WJCT News 89.9.
