Three people were shot and killed at the Calloway Cove Apartments on Moncrief Road in Northwest Jacksonville early this Tuesday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said its gang unit was working near the apartment complex when officers heard gunfire nearby and spotted a car leaving the scene.
Police said the car had been stolen in Clay County.
JSO chased the driver before bringing the car to a halt with a maneuver that caused the driver to lose control and stop. Several people were taken into custody and guns were recovered from the vehicle.
Officers went back to the complex where they found two Hispanic men and one Hispanic woman killed inside an apartment.
Police said the shootings occurred in the same area where 19-year-old Larry Tould was killed January 26. JSO is asking for help solving that shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 904-630-0500 or email JSO.
