St. Johns County is giving its utility customers another month and a half before resuming late fees and disconnections.
Officials announced Wednesday that people with past-due accounts will face having their service cut off starting April 1.
The county’s moratorium on late fees and disconnections took effect last March as a way to ease the financial strain on families and businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
St. Johns County utility customers can review their current account status or make a payment, by calling 904-209-2700, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or the 24/7 automated phone system at 844-752-8845, or by visiting www.sjcfl.us/Utilities.
