The fast-growing Wildlight master planned community in Nassau County will have a new Publix in 2022.Sleiman Enterprises has announced it is developing a new shopping center anchored by Publix, called the Crossings at Wildlight.
“Grocery anchored neighborhood retail is the cornerstone to healthy vibrant communities and so important to sustain and, ultimately, strengthen them," said Sleiman Enterprises Chief Operating Officer Michael McNaughton in a news release.
Construction on the site at the corner of FL-200 (AIA) and William Burgess Boulevard in Yulee is expected to begin next week, with a completion planned for spring 2022.
Wildlight is being developed between Florida A1A north and the St. Marys River. The master planned community is expected to be about twice as large as Nocatee by the time its finished.
WJCT News partner the Jacksonville Daily Record reported Wildlight is expected to have 24,000 homes by the time its built-out.
The Crossings at Wildlight will encompass nearly 90,000 square feet on just under 17 acres.
Other recent Wildlight projects include the opening of its second neighborhood, Forest Park, as well as the UF Health Rehabilitation – Wildlight Center, which includes a YMCA.
