It’s time for that semi-annual reminder to set your clocks and your irrigation systems to “spring forward” this weekend when you head to bed Saturday night.
The city of Jacksonville is using the switch to Daylight Saving Time (DST) to remind everyone that lawn irrigation is only allowed twice a week and is not permitted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in order to conserve water.
Residential properties with even numbered addresses or those ending with A-M are allowed to water on Thursdays and Sundays.
Properties with odd numbered addresses, or those ending with N-Z, or properties with no street address may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Non-residential irrigation is only permitted Tuesday and Friday.
The city is also reminding everyone that now is a good time to test household smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and change the batteries or replace the device if needed.
