The National Football League announced Wednesday morning it will resume International Series Games during the 2021 season after the coronavirus pandemic halted all international games last season.
The Jaguars will play the Miami Dolphins at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 17 at 9:30 a.m. ET. The Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets will also play in London on Oct. 10.
The Jaguars played one home game in London each season from 2013-2019. The team planned on playing two homes games in London last season until the NFL halted its 2020 international games.
“The Jaguars are honored to return to London, our home away from home, and continue in our mission to grow the NFL and promote Jacksonville in the UK and beyond,” said Jaguars team owner Shad Khan in an email sent to WJCT News.
While the NFL is resuming international games, the number of international games will not return to pre-pandemic levels. In 2019, the NFL had four London games. Excluding 2020, the last time less than three London games were played was during the 2013 season.
The full 2021 NFL regular-season schedule will be announced Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
