Man Shot, Killed By Glynn County Pizza Delivery Driver Had Long Criminal History

News4Jax

Georgia authorities said Monday no charges have been filed against the pizza delivery driver who shot and killed a man he says attacked him while on a delivery run Saturday night in Brunswick.

Glynn County Police interim Chief Rick Evans identified the man killed as 37- year-old Jeremy Hicks.

Evans said the 25-year-old delivery man - who police have not named - arrived at a vacant mobile home, where Hicks pulled a knife on him.

The driver shot the man, who died at the scene.

“The victim was not hurt in the incident and was just there to deliver a pizza to the residence for Mr. Hicks who had called the establishment,” said Evans.

Police said Hicks had an extensive criminal history and that he was on probation after having just spent 15-years behind bars.
