Farm Share will be distributing free food to approximately 900 food-insecure people in Jacksonville and Palatka Saturday.

In Jacksonville, Food Share is partnering with City Councilman Reggie Gaffney and the Church of the Redeem to distribute food to approximately 400 residents.

The Jacksonville event will be held at the church, at 1593 Helena St. on the Northside, from 9 a.m. until supplies run out.

In Putnam County, Food Share has partnered with the County Board of County Commissioners, U.S. Rep. Kat Cammack, state Sen. Keith Perry, and state Rep. Bobby Payne to distribute food to about 500 people.

Palatka’s event will be held at 2509 Crill Ave. from 7:30 a.m. until supplies run out.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, distributions are drive-thru only to minimize contact. Attendees must wear a mask and arrive in a vehicle with a trunk or cargo bed to qualify for the food giveaways.
