Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is in urgent need of blood, especially universal Type O for emergencies.
The hospital at 3625 University Boulevard S. is teaming up with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers for a 2-day blood drive Thursday, July 1, and Friday, July 2.
The donation hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
The hospital said one pint of blood can save three lives.
Donations made during the two day blood drive will go to patients at local hospitals.
