Masks Required For Employees, Visitors Starting Wed. In St. Johns County Schools

St. Johns County school employees and visitors will have to wear a face mask or shield on school property.

District officials said the new policy will start Wednesday, Aug. 25, and remain in effect until September 23,  when it will be reevaluated.

It does not apply to students.

St. Johns County public schools serves 45,643 students and had 5,298 employees at last count.

The district’s coronavirus dashboard for Monday, Aug. 23, showed 236-students and 87-employees have tested positive for COVID-19.
