America’s biggest public charging network is offering free charging for the holiday weekend in Jacksonville and at its stations across the country.
The free fuel promotion runs from Friday, Sept. 1, to Monday, Sept. 6, and is unlimited, meaning First Coast electric vehicle owners with compatible cars can drive to just about anywhere and back this weekend for free.
“We just wanted to make it kind of a slide into the long weekend to enjoy the ride in their electric vehicle,” Electrify America spokesman Mike Moran told WJCT News Thursday.
Most Electrify America stations have CCS and CHAdeMO Level 3 chargers with some of the CCS chargers delivering up to 350kwh, which is fast enough to charge up a Porsche Taycan to 80% in 20 minutes.
In Jacksonville, the Electrify America charging station is located at The Avenues mall.
