A 1.36-acre tract along Jacksonville Beach could be revived as a residential and commercial development.

A long-vacant Jacksonville Beach lot once home to a landmark four-star restaurant might not be empty much longer.

Trevato Development Group bought the former Dolphin Depot site at 704 1st St. N. for $8.5 million and plans to redevelop it into a modern mixed-use residential and commercial development in the heart of the Jacksonville Beach Central Business District.

The 1.36-acre tract bordered by First and Second Streets North and Sixth and Seventh Avenues North is directly across from the recently opened $50 million, 202-room resort Margaritaville Beach Hotel and LandShark Bar & Grill.
