Patrons packed into the smoky interior of Pete's Bar early Monday evening as the proud dive bar marked its last night of business under the only family that has ever owned it.
In between pouring beers for customers, Mike Vaughn, a bartender at Pete's, confirmed the bar was closing that night.
So what of the future of the Neptune Beach institution at 117 First St, the first bar in Duval County to open after the end of Prohibition in 1933?
