Jacksonville has reached an agreement with Gator Bowl Sports for the annual Taxslayer Gator Bowl to continue through the 2025-26 season at TIAA Bank Field.

Jacksonville will host the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl for another five years in a newly approved contract that City Council member Ron Salem said gives the city a shot at landing coveted College Football Playoff games.

“This is a big deal for the Gator Bowl," Salem said when City Council unanimously approved extending its contract with Gator Bowl Sports.

Jacksonville will continue leasing city-owned TIAA Bank Field to Gator Bowl Sports for the long-running game while also providing millions of dollars in financial support and game-day services over the term of the lease.
