JEA electric bills hit their highest level since 2011 after the utility increased them again this month, and a cold snap will bring that home as people consume more electricity for heating.
JEA leaders say the rapid rise in its charges should go down somewhat in March.
JEA's overall charge to customers has gone up 12% since November, a boost caused by the utility passing on the higher cost it pays for natural gas that fuels electric generation at power plants.
