Hear the future of Jacksonville's urban core libraries

The future of Jacksonville’s urban core libraries is the topic of a presentation at the Main Library this evening.

Last year, the city initiated a community-focused design process for five libraries: Bill Brinton in Murray Hill, Brentwood, Brown on the Eastside, Dallas Graham on the mid-Westside and Westbrook on the Westside. The resulting Urban Library Facilities Master Plan addresses the need for public access to services like computing and technology, lifelong learning programs, and space for community engagement and gathering.

Library building and design experts Aaron Cohen Associates will unveil the results.  The public can give more feedback at the event tonight beginning at 5:30 at the Main Library downtown. Enter the library’s conference center through the doors on Main Street.
