Barrique Kitchen & Wine Bar will close permanently on May 30 after nearly five years in the heart of Avondale.
Barrique was known for its inspired and modern cuisine plus its Old-World ambiance — serving dinner and weekend brunch. It replaced the former Cowford Traders retail store.
The restaurant opened on Dec. 7, 2017, at 3563 St. Johns Ave. in the Shoppes of Avondale. Since then, it's been a popular "date night" destination and place for special occasion celebrations.
