The Tedeschi Trucks Band opened Daily's Place on May 27, 2017.

There's a moment at every Daily's Place concert that gives Chad Johnson goosebumps.

"My greatest pleasure is standing down stage right at the time the headliner takes the stage," said Johnson, chief operating officer for the Jaguars and Bold Events, the company that manages the venue. "I look down at the crowd and watch the fans respond. That’s what really excites me."

Daily's Place, the 5,500-seat amphitheater attached to the south end of TIAA Bank Field, opened five years ago this weekend with sold-out shows by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Train and Dave Matthews. In the subsequent five years, nearly 800,000 fans have attended events at Daily's, which has played host to 125 concerts, Jacksonville Symphony performances, a showing of "Grease" with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, NFL draft parties, taco festivals and 40-some wrestling shows.
