Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville has again been ranked the No. 1 hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report.
Mayo has taken the spot six of the past seven years. The health system also was ranked the best in the nation for the seventh consecutive year.
The U.S. News Best Hospitals report measures factors such as survival, patient experience, nurse staffing, advanced technology, patient services and reputation with other specialists.
In Florida, U.S. News evaluated 247 hospitals and ranked 33 that met the publication's standards.
Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville was ranked No. 11 in Florida. Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital was No. 18, and UF Health Jacksonville was No. 24.
Mayo Clinic was ranked nationally in seven specialities: cardiology and heart surgery; diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery; geriatrics; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology and lung surgery.
