An East Arlington Catholic school is one of just two schools in Florida picked this year for a U.S. Department of Education honor that celebrates academic performance.
Holy Spirit Catholic School at 11665 Fort Caroline Road was among 297 schools nationally named to the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, which spotlights schools creating academic excellence or closing achievement gaps.
The designation was announced Monday to Holy Spirit’s students, ranging from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade.
