That cute Disney outfit you bought your child may be hazardous to their health.

The Bentex clothing group is recalling about 87,000 children's clothing sets because the ink on the clothing contains levels of lead that exceed federal limits.

The nine Disney themed styles were sold between November 2021 and August 2022 at TJMaxx, DD's/Ross, Burlington, Army & Airforce Exchange Service; other stores nationwide; and online at amazon.com.

Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

The clothing sets include leggings sets, bike shorts sets, boys and girls shorts sets and pants sets. Details, including batch numbers, are available on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website. (The batch numbers are printed on the clothing's neck or side label.)

No health issues have been reported, but Bendix is issuing refunds. Consumers should immediately take the clothing sets away from children and contact Bentex for instructions on how to return or dispose of the clothing to receive a full refund.

Consumers can call Bentex at (800) 451-0285 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; email recall@bentex.com; or go online at bentex.com/recall or bentex.com.
