There’s Black Friday — and then there’s the Real Black Friday.

That’s what organizers of Jacksonville’s Melanin Market are calling the post-Thanksgiving Day marketplace where people can support local Black-owned businesses.

The Real Black Friday market will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the day after Thanksgiving at 822 A Philip Randolph Blvd.

More than 125 Black-owned businesses, nonprofit organizations and artist vendors will participate, coming from across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

The event also will feature live entertainment, a kids’ zone, Santa meet-and-greet, a toy giveaway and more.
