Almost three years to the day that an 84-year-old San Marco home was loaded up on a pair of giant power dollies and repositioned, the owners of the property are hoping they can finally move forward on a long-planned restoration project.

Ellen and Alan Cottrill of Opus Group Construction (formerly River City Contractors), purchased the home at 1106 Eutaw Place in 2018. It sat at the back of a large lot at San Jose Boulevard and Eutaw Place, a prime piece of real estate in the historic Jacksonville neighborhood.

Several local developers had their eyes on the property with only one thing in mind — demolition.
