Former Clay County Schools superintendent may be interested in Duval job

News4Jax
Addison Davis, a former Clay County Schools superintendent, has resigned from Hillsborough County Public Schools and expressed interest in returning to Northeast Florida.

Former Clay County Schools Superintendent Addison Davis resigned Thursday from his position as superintendent of Hillsborough County Public Schools.

His resignation opens the possibility that Davis could be in the running to become the next superintendent of Duval County Public Schools after the departure of Diana Greene this month.

“Please understand that this was one of the most difficult decisions that I have ever had to make as our work in HCPS in not done," Davis said in his resignation letter. "With this said, I have the opportunity to return to Northeast Florida where my entire family resides.”
