UPDATE 05/17/13 4:20: JSO has just announced that Rodney Lorenzo Addison walked into the police station today and turned himself in. He is currently being charged with Auto Theft, Possession of Cocaine, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving, and Driving While License Suspended
What follows is our report from Thursday about the incident:
Jacksonville police are still looking for a 20-year-old Jacksonville man involved in a police shooting yesterday at Jacksonville International Airport.
Rodney Lorenzo Addison is wanted for charges of car theft and assaulting a police officer.
Officers shot at Addison as he was running from police in JIA's rental car parking garage.
Chief Tom Hackney says the 17-year-old who was with Addison and was shot in the leg is cooperating with police, and hasn’t been charged.
The 17-year-old called 911 from an apartment complex on Dunn Avenue, and lied to the dispatcher about how he was shot. He later admitted to what happened.
Police say they need help from the public to find Addison. Hackney is asking anyone with information about Addison's whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS or the Sheriff's office. A $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers is available for help the arrest of Addison.

Hackney also says the owner of the vehicle, who was first thought to be involved, will not be charged.
Hackney says the car had been reported stolen last week. He says the owner was not at the airportm and came across his vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex where it was found before police arrived on the scene.
An unknown third person is believed to have been in the vehicle at the airport.
