Data Breach Compromises Accounts At Vystar Credit Union And Other Local Banks

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is working with Vystar Credit Union to find the source of a recent data breach.

According to the JSO, there have been at least 80 reports of compromised accounts so far. And this morning they learned the hack may involve other local financial institutions as well.

The JSO recommends that everyone in Jacksonville and surrounding communities check their bank accounts for fraudulent activities.

Authorities are currently currently looking for an individual they believe may have information about the data breach, and they're asking for the public's help identifying him. The suspect is described as a black male around 30 years in age with facial hair, who is possibly driving a burgundy minivan.

If you know anything about the suspect, call the JSO at 904-630-0500 or email them at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
