JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office had to break up a protest that briefly blocked the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Emerson Street during rush hour Monday morning.
Before 8 a.m. several drivers reported that several SUVs stopped in the middle of the highway and groups of protesters got out with bull horns and signs.
Members of the group were ticketed, but not arrested.

The group was protesting the grand jury's decision in Ferguson with signs that read "Black lives matter" and yelling "Hands up, don't shoot."
Officers were able to lead the protesters out of the roadway and onto the overpass walkway above the highway.
The protest caused traffic to come to a complete halt for some time. The protest also caused major delays and traffic backup in the area.
