An Orange Park man accused of plotting a terrorist attack on a Sept. 11 memorial has been found mentally incompetent to stand trial, as the Associated Press first reported.
Twenty-year-old Joshua Goldberg was arrested in September after he allegedly sent plans for bombing a Missouri 9-11 ceremony to an FBI informant.
After evaluating Goldberg, a psychologist testified he’s not mentally fit for trial, and a judge agreed.
The contents of that evaluation are temporarily sealed as Goldberg’s lawyer argues why they should remain closed to the public. But the Florida Times-Union and Associated Press plan to try intervening in the case to get his evaluation unsealed.
