The Florida Highway Patrol reopened a closed portion of Interstate 95 late Friday morning as visibility conditions improved in the Yellow Bluff Fire.
The interstate had been shut down since Thursday afternoon in both directions between State Road 200 in Yulee and Pecan Park on Jacksonville’s Northside.
The Florida Forest Service estimated the fire’s size at 450 acres and said it is 30% contained.
