The all-out search for 35-year-old Patrick McDowell, the man suspected of shooting a Nassau County deputy twice during a traffic stop early Friday, continued Monday as the reward for his capture continued to climb.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the reward for information that leads to the arrest of McDowell keeps growing. Between the Fraternal Order of Police, Florida Sheriff’s Association, Crime Stoppers and other “generous donors,” the reward by Monday morning was up to $54,000.
Nassau County Deputy Joshua Moyers, was shot twice on a dirt road just outside of Callahan, died Sunday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office announced. He was 29.
