A group called Sons of Confederate Veterans says Georgia law prohibits the removal of any monument on public property.

A fire ripped through the restaurant in Middleburg on Wednesday night, causing serious damage.

Because of high demand, the line was stretching around the building and onto Atlantic Boulevard, causing traffic hazards. But drivers were able to move through the line a few hours later.

The jury reached its verdict in the death of Joleen Cummings after just over an hour of deliberations. Cummings disappeared in 2018 and her body was never found.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Anderson's mother told police her husband, Otis Lee Anderson Sr., was bitten by their son’s girlfriend’s dog. She said it made Anderson Sr. upset, and an argument followed.
