Rodman Dam
Outdated, obsolete dams threaten public safety. About 85% of the nation’s dams have exceeded their life expectancy at more than 50 years old. Aging dams are at increased risk of failure, particularly during increasingly severe storms and flooding fueled by climate change.
A new report makes a strong case for breaching the Rodman Dam in Putnam and Marion counties. It’s part of a national movement to restore free-flowing rivers to environmental health.

National Heart Month
There is still time in National Heart Month to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. On March 2 from 6-9 pm, the Woman of Impact Team is joining forces with Ruby Beach. The brewery is releasing the Go Red Strawberry Rhubarb Sour and will donate a portion of proceeds to the Woman of Impact Campaign.
