Early voting begins Friday in Duval County for the Aug. 26 primary election.

Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland said every registered voter in the county should have already received a sample ballot with the races in which they’re eligible to vote.

“There’s three types of ballots: Republican, Democrat and non-partisan. There's a judicial race that will be on everyone’s ballot.  There’s also a straw ballot for libraries that is on everyone’s ballot," he said. "Also, there are some school board races on everyone’s ballot."

Holland said voters can go to any of the county’s 18 different polling places.  Their locations, hours of operation and even how long you might have to wait can be found online at duvalelections.com.

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 4 general election is Oct. 6.
