Strong Turnout, Few Problems As Jacksonville Elections Begin To Wind Down

Just a few hours remain for Jacksonville voters to cast their ballots.

Duval County’s election supervisor says voter turnout has surpassed his projections with more than 37,000 casting ballots today alone.

Betty McKim manages Precinct 101 in Arlington.

She says there’s been a steady stream of voters all day, which isn’t surprising, given the people who live in the area.

"This precinct usually turns out a little better than the average percentage," McKim said. "This is probably a little older community and they seem to be a little more interested in what’s going on."

McKim says only a few people have come to the wrong polling place or showed up without the right identification.
