Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry is asking for the immediate resignation of JEA board member Lisa Strange Weatherby.
Emails from the mayor's office show Weatherby refused to meet with Curry amidst his probe of JEA.
After the Times-Union reported JEA potentially broke public-records law, Curry asked all JEA board members to meet with him individually.
The mayor's office demanded her resignation Tuesday after she didn't show up to her meeting with the mayor and his staff, earlier that day.
Weatherby had said she'd meet either one-on-one with the mayor or in an open public meeting.
In emails obtained by WJCT, she went on to accuse Curry of cleaning city boards to clear them of anyone who supported other mayoral candidates.
A Curry staffer responded that meetings with other JEA board members had been very productive and Weatherby clearly doesn't share the same values and commitment.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Curry spokeswoman Marsha Oliver said Weatherby has not submitted her resignation.
