St. Petersburg Police reported two incidents involving celebratory July 4 gunfire, including a baby who was wounded by an errant bullet.

Police say a 2-month-old child was wounded Thursday around 9:45 p.m. at the 300 block of Kingfish Drive SE. The baby, being held by his mother under a gazebo when grazed by the falling bullet, suffered a minor superficial wound and was treated at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, another bullet fell through the roof and ceiling of a home and into the living room at the 3800 block of Queensboro Ave S. Nobody was injured, police say.
