The FBI’s Jacksonville office has arrested a Baker County man accused of having a role in the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Bradley Weeks of Macclenny is accused of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, along with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
The FBI said it received tips that Weeks had posted a video on his Facebook page detailing what the FBI called his “invasion of the Capitol building.”
“The arrest of Bradley Weeks is yet another example of the FBI’s commitment to hold accountable those who seek to incite violence or wreak havoc on our established institutions," said FBI Jacksonville Special Agent in Charge Rachel L. Rojas, in an email to WJCT News.
Rojas said the Florida Highway Patrol, Baker County Sheriff’s Office and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation that led to Weeks’ arrest.
Weeks was scheduled to have his first court appearance Thursday at 3 p.m.
