As The Border Crisis Worsens, Is Federal Immigration Reform Possible?

President Barack Obama on Wednesday called on Congress to approve nearly $4 billion meant to address the influx of child migrants crossing the southwestern border.

Meanwhile, prominent Floridians usually known for their conservative views called for immigration reform Wednesday. It was part of several "day of action” events across the country designed to persuade Congress to take up the legislation as as the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border intensifies.

With Washington still politically polarized, is comprehensive immigration reform even possible?

University of North Florida political scientist Matt Corrigan joined Melissa Ross for more on the prospects for reform.
