FAMU Selects Dean For College Of Education

Ending a two-year search Florida A&M University’s College of Education has selected a new dean.

Announced Wednesday Allyson Watson will now be the dean of the FAMU’s College of Education. Prior to accepting the job at FAMU she was the dean of the College of Education at University of South Florida, and assistant dean at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

She received her bachelor’s from Bethune-Cookman University and earned her masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Oklahoma.

The previous search for a dean ended without a selection.
