Fans Will Pitch Designs To Jacksonville's Jumbo Shrimp In T-Shirt Contest

Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp

Jacksonville’s minor league baseball team, the Jumbo Shrimp, is turning to its fans to design this season’s promotional t-shirt.

Assistant General Manager Noel Blaha said a contest is underway to find the perfect one.

“[We’re looking for] something that is fun, bright and vibrant. But ultimately it’s what the fans are looking for because, with this contest, we’re going to empower the fans to vote on which winning tee-shirt design will be the give-away on Saturday, April 28th.

Blaha said the deadline to email a design to the Jumbo Shrimp is five p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14th.

The four best designs will be posted on the team’s Facebook page so Crustacean Nation fans can vote for their favorite

“The winner will receive ten tickets to that April 28th game in which the 2,000 shirts will be handed out. They’ll also get to go home with 15 of the winning shirts that they designed. And they’ll also get to throw a ceremonial first pitch.”

Last year, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp asked fans to name the team’s mascot. Scampi got the most votes.
