Funds to dredge St. Johns River included in federal water bill: The funding for two projects designed to improve operations at JAXPORT, including dredging the St. Johns River's shipping channel to accommodate larger ships, was included in a final version of the federal Water Resources Development Act to be voted on in Congress. Concerns with Duval Schools budget remain despite changes: Some tweaks made by Duval County Schools Superintendent Nikolai Vitti and school board members to themuch-protested school budget restoring funding for some staff positions may make it more palatable for some, but not all. (WJCT)

Woman bit by shark at Jax Beach: Mihaela "Mimi" Cosa received 21 stitches to close a wound caused when a shark bit her foot as she waded in thigh-deep water at Jacksonville Beach Tuesday morning. (News4Jax)

JEA repairing Westside water main break: A broken 8-inch water main break near Woodstock Park caused officials to shut down parts of Broadway Avenue early this morning. (First Coast News)

Jags talk future renovations, Khan revisits "mojo" comment at press event: Jacksonville Jaguars management unveiled preliminary renderings for more potential improvements at EverBank Field at their "State of the Franshise" press event Tuesday. Florida MERS patient visited two Orlando hospitals: Florida's MERS patient came to Orlando Regional Medical Center to bring a relative in for testing before eventually ending up in the emergency room at Dr. Phillips Hospital, where they are being treated for the virus. (Boston.com)

Scott vetoes speed limit bill: Gov. Rick Scott vetoed a bill that would have increased the speed limit on state highways to 75 miles-per-hour. (News-Press)

Ninety arrests, most in South Florida, in Medicare fraud crackdown: Ninety people, including doctors, pharmacy owners and elderly patients, were arrested this week in six cities and charged with submitting fake billings to Medicare worth nearly $260 million. (The New York Times)
