People across Florida have been demonstrating in solidarity with Cubans protesting their country's communist dictatorship over the past few days.

Cubans have risen up demanding an end to the communist dictatorship that’s governed the island nation for decades.  At the same time, a new law in Florida criminalizes protests, accordiing to critics.  Activists have criticized the new state protest law, saying that lawmakers are selective in what causes affect them.

ACLU of Florida Executive Director Micah Kubic gave us his take.
