School officials evacuated Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach Wednesday after a bomb threat.
"The school called the parents and said that there was a backpack found in the boys bathroom with a note that said something about, 'There’s a bomb in the school...good luck,'" said Jennifer Turner, a parent whose daughter attends the school.
Officials evacuated the school and escorted students into the football stadium across the street. There they were locked down.
Concerned parents like Turner were frustrated by the school not allowing the children to leave.
"Now they are telling us they won’t give us our kids," she said.
Around 2 p.m., officials allowed the students to go.
School faculty and police on the scene would not comment on the situation. Duval County Public Schools Spokesperson Tia Ford later confirmed the threat and said no bomb was found.
This is the fourth bomb threat at a Duval County School since the academic year started in August.
