Along with tax-free clothing, the Regency Square Mall is also where parents can find free backpacks and information about health insurance Saturday.

Regency is partnering with Get Covered America to throw the back-to-school insurance-info event. Get Covered America spokesman Milton Batquez says insured kids are more successful.

“When kids don’t have insurance it’s usually because their parents don’t have insurance,” Batquez said. “And when kids have health insurance we find that they are more prepared for school, more studious and more ready to tackle the school year.”

Kids will be able to play in bounce houses and get their faces painted. And they’ll also be able to leave with a free backpack full of school supplies.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
