LifeSouth organizers are hoping to see a boost in blood donations on Friday, October 11 and Monday, October 14.
In an effort to fill blood banks on Friday and Monday, people that donate blood to LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Jacksonville on either of those two days will receive a limited-edition “Donors Give a Latte” coffee mug and $5 Starbucks gift card, according to LifeSouth.
The blood drives are being held at two locations:
Northeast Florida Headquarters
7840 Baymeadows Way
Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville
800 Prudential Drive
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
LifeSouth supplies blood to many of Northeast Florida hospitals, including Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Baptist Medical Center South, Memorial Hospital, Orange Park Medical Center and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
The coffee mug and gift card giveaway is limited to donations made on October 11 or 14 while supplies last.
