The Halloween movie "Hocus Pocus" will be shown October 29 on the lawn at the site of the former Jacksonville Landing.

Downtown Vision wants to scare up some family fun with what it’s calling Halloweek, Oct. 26-30.

The highlight will be a “Jack O’Landing” movie night at the site of the former Jacksonville Landing.

Sun-Ray Cinema will be showing the Disney Halloween classic Hocus Pocus on a big screen on the former Landing lawn at 2 Independent Drive for two showings, on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Face coverings are required to attend. Attendees should bring their own picnic blankets or lawn chairs and may bring in their own coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages. Pets are welcome. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Attendees must register in advance online to reserve their socially distanced “magic square.”

Food trucks will be on hand. Local brews and spirits will also be available for purchase.

Downtown Vision is also hoping to lure folks back Downtown throughout “Halloweek,” with an invitation to hunt and collect QR codes to receive a Halloween treat.

“Hunters” are encouraged to visit at least 10 participating businesses throughout the week and scan the QR codes displayed. Businesses will be handing out candy to hunters.

Hunters who scans 10 QR codes will receive a $20 #DTJax e-Gift Card via email and be entered to receive additional prizes.

The Halloween Hunt will take place on the app Eventzee, available in the Apple and Google Play app stores.

Halloween is Saturday, Oct. 31.
