The Jacksonville Housing Authority board voted Wednesday afternoon to terminate Fred McKinnies as the agency’s president and CEO,
The board met in an emergency session Wednesday afternoon to decide the “employment status” of CEO Fred McKinnies after the release of an Office of Inspector General investigation of the longtime public housing administrator, according to WJCT News partner The Florida Times-Union.
The Inspector General’s report released Monday found McKinnies had sexual relationships with two employees over a years-long period while he had responsibility “directly or indirectly” for those employees’ evaluations, salary increases and a promotion.
The investigation determined that one of the sex acts between McKinnies and an employee occurred at the authority’s main office during work hours.
The report said McKinnies also had a sexual relationship with a housing authority resident that resulted in the birth of a child.
