A portion of the proceeds from the cruise-in style show will benefit Hunger Fight, which produces and distributes meals to Jacksonville’s food insecure.

Jacksonville Car Culture is the team behind Caffeine and Octane - Jacksonville, which was previously known as Cars & Coffee.

After a year-plus hiatus due to the pandemic, Jacksonville Car Culture saw its biggest turnout ever for its inaugural Caffeine and Octane event on July 10 at The Avenues, with parked show cars filling the lots on the east side of the mall.

Jacksonville Car Culture didn’t provide an attendance figure for the event but Sunshine State Chevelles President Chris Conover estimated the turnout was in the neighborhood of 1,500 cars.

September 4’s 904 Octane event will held that Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at WJCT Public Media at 100 Festival Park Ave. The cost for automotive enthusiasts to display their vehicles will be $10, with free admission for spectators.

The next Caffeine and Octane, which is free to everyone, will be held Saturday, August 14, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at The Avenues mall. The August theme will celebrate British vehicles.
