Mark Brunell To Join Pride Of The Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday they’ll induct former quarterback Mark Brunell into the Pride of the Jaguars.

Brunell will join former offensive tackle Tony Boselli (2006), former owners Wayne and Delores Weaver (2011) and running back Fred Taylor (2012) as the fifth member of the Pride.

Brunell led the Jags to the playoffs for four straight seasons and holds almost all franchise passing records but said says this honor is special for him and his family.

"Passing records --they get broken eventually," he said. "Pro Bowls and the other individual awards sometimes get forgotten, but the opportunity to be on the Pride, that goes on.”

Brunell is now the head coach at Jacksonville’s Episcopal High School and will soon take a role as an NFL analyst with ESPN.

The induction takes place December 15 when the Jags host the Buffalo Bills.
