Grave Digger driver Krysten Anderson (right) is pictured with First Connect Connect host Melissa Ross Thursday outside of WJCT's Studio 5.

Driving the fan-favorite Grave Digger will be 22-year-old Krysten Anderson, who took the wheel about three years ago.

“It’s an instant adrenaline rush. I mean, there’re 1,500 horsepower. The engine sits right behind you. So as soon as you fire the engine up it’s buzzing already in your chest and it’s an adrenaline shot straight to the head. I tell people it’s kind of like skydiving and being in a UFC fight,” said Anderson.

Anderson said this weekend will be her first time competing at Jacksonville’s arena, although she has previously competed at TIAA Bank Field.

Saturday’s Monster Jam starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
